OUR TEAMS

Community Relations

The Community Relations Specialist plays a key role in fostering partnerships and building relationships to support animal rescue efforts. This position focuses on outreach and engagement with shelters, rescue organizations, local businesses (e.g., pet supply stores), and corporate sponsors within the service area. Responsibilities include coordinating collaborative initiatives, organizing community events, securing sponsorships, and strengthening ties with stakeholders to enhance awareness and support for rescue programs. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential to drive the mission forward.

Social Media

Responsible for managing the organization's presence on social media platforms and adoption websites. Tasks include creating and posting engaging content, responding to inquiries, promoting adoptable animals, coordinating online adoption campaigns, and building a strong online community presence to support the rescue's mission. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and a passion for animal welfare.

Fundraising

The Fundraising Specialist plays a key role in supporting the mission of the animal rescue organization by developing and executing effective fundraising strategies. Responsibilities include organizing and managing fundraising events, identifying and pursuing grant opportunities, securing donations from corporate sponsors, cultivating donor relationships, and creating compelling campaigns to increase financial support. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for animal welfare, and the ability to engage donors and sponsors effectively.

Vetting

The Vetting Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the health and well-being of rescue animals by managing veterinary care. Responsibilities include: -Developing and maintaining relationships with veterinary clinics. -Scheduling and coordinating veterinary appointments. -Approving necessary veterinary services for appointments. -Managing and tracking payments for veterinary care. -Providing support & advice for basic health questions to fosters and adopters. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to ensure timely and appropriate care for rescue animals.

Intakes & Placements

The Intakes and Placements Coordinator evaluates intake requests from owners and shelters to determine how the rescue can assist. This role involves reviewing and processing foster/adoption applications, carefully matching dogs with suitable fosters and adopters, and cultivating strong relationships to provide ongoing support throughout the placement process. The coordinator ensures a smooth transition for each animal while maintaining clear communication with all involved parties to promote successful outcomes.
